1) Death and Permanent Disablement

In the event during the journey, the Insured Person sustain bodily injury caused by violent accidental and visible means resulting in death or permanent disablement within three hundred and sixty five (365) days after the occurrence of the accident.

2) Double Indemnity

The coverage for death and permanent disablement as mentioned in the above benefit will be double if the Insured Person suffers death or permanent disablement (total paralysis from neck down due to an accident) whilst travelling as a fare-paying passenger on any common carrier (licensed to carry fare-paying passengers). The total sum payable by the Company in any event shall not exceed twice the Principal Sum Insured.

3) Hospitalisation Expenses

Reimbursement on the actual necessary and reasonable medical, hospital or surgical expenses to the Insured Person incurred in the treatment of injuries or sickness provided such treatment is received from a qualified medical practitioner or whilst confined in a government or licensed private hospital up to the stipulated limits as stated in the Schedule.

4) Hospital Income

This benefits pays RM100.00 per day to the Insured Person up to a maximum of 20 days if the Insured Person is hospitalised for more than 24 hours due to injuries or illness.

5) Clinical Expenses

Sickness and injury which necessitates the Insured Person seeking medical attention as an outpatient from a qualified medical practitioner. This benefit reimburse the charges up to the stipulated limits as stated in the Schedule.

6) Loss of Deposit /Curtailment

Loss of Deposit - Reimbursement on the actual, necessary expenses to the Insured Person due to loss of travel or accommodation expenses paid in advance by the Insured Person which is irrecoverable from any other source consequent upon the cancellation of the journey occurring between the date of issue of the policy and date of commencement of the journey.

Curtailment - This coverage will refund the unused and non-refundable part of your trip in proportion to the non-used days consequent upon the Insured having to return to Malaysia following the unexpected death or serious injury or sickness to the Insured's spouse, parent, parent-in-law, child, brother or sister. The sickness or accident of an immediate family member in Malaysia which will require hospitalisation of more than 48 hours.

7) Baggage and Personal Effects

The Company will reimburse the Insured Person for any loss or damage to the Insured Person's baggage, clothing and personal effects owned by the Insured Person and caused by the carrier. The amount payable for any one article shall not exceed RM300.00. The Insured Person shall be responsible for the first RM100.00 of loss or damage. The maximum payable for any loss is RM3,000.00.

8) Baggage Delay

In the event the Insured Person's baggage which was duly registered and placed under the responsibility of the airline company in which the Insured Person was travelling is certified to have been lost or misplaced for at least 12 hours from the time of arrival at the scheduled destination. The Company will reimburse, subject to a maximum of RM500.00, expenses incurred in respect of purchase of essential items of clothing and/or personal effects. Provided that any amount payable shall be deducted from any claims to be payable under Section 7 if the baggage or any part of it proves to be permanently lost.

9) Personal Liability

The Company will indemnify the Insured Person in respect of legal liability occuring during the journey as a result of:
  • Accidental bodily injury to a third party, or
  • Accidental loss or damage to the property of a third party, up to the stipulated limits as stated in the Schedule, which shall be the aggregate limit for all losses under this benefit during the journey.

10) Hijacking

Delays or interruptions to the journey in excess of 12 hours resulting in the Insured person being prevented from reaching the scheduled destination on any public conveyance on which the Insured Person is a passenger as a result of an act of hijack. The Company will pay the Insured Person RM300.00 per day up to a maximum of 20 days.

11) Travel Delay

In the event that each flight or voyage in which the Insured Person had arranged to travel is delayed in excess of 12 hours due to any unforeseen circumstances beyond the Insured Person RM100.00 for the 1st 12 hours and RM500.00 for every subsequent 6 hours up to a maximum of RM500.00.

12) Repatriation

The Company will reimburse the Insured Person's legal representative up to RM8,000.00 for the cost of returning the body or ashes of the Insured Person to his normal domicile.

13) Loss of Passport

The Company will reimburse the Insured Person up to the benefit amount in respect of reasonable additional hotel, travel and communication expenses necessarily incurred in the country or countries visited in obtaining the replacement of a loss passport, provided always that the Insured Person shall exercise reasonable care for the safety and supervision of the passport and that any loss of passport must be reported to the police within 24 hours of discovery.

14) International Medical Assistance Program

Services as described below are available 24 hours to the Insured Person travelling anywhere outside Malaysia with each trip not exceeding 90 consecutive days.
  • Tele-medical consultation and evaluation of the Insured Person's condition.
  • Medical referral and arrangement of medical appointments upon request.
  • Arrangement of hospital admission guarantee (up to USD25,000.00)
  • Despatch of medication not available locally (up to USD1,000.00 per event)
  • Medical evacuation
  • Medically supervised repatriation
  • Medical Monitoring & Emergency Message Transmission with prior agreement of the Insured Person
  • Repatriation of mortal remains
  • Visit to bedside by a relative
  • Visa, passport and inoculation requirements
